Ho-Ho-Holiday Volunteerism is Here!!!

December 1, 2011

The season for celebration has arrived, bringing with it family gatherings, tasty feasts, and shopping extravaganzas. Yet it’s also a time to reflect on those in the community who are less fortunate and to consider how we can help. Whether as an individual or part of a family effort, we all can spread happiness in fun and simple ways this holiday season:

Help Wrap Gifts. Got pride in your wrapping skills? Non-profits often need help wrapping gifts for families in need. Put your skills to use and benefit the community!

Volunteer With a Food Pantry. Assembling baskets, stocking pantries, collecting donations—all are valuable skills that can help feed the hungry this season.

Host a Holiday Drive. Bring a smile to the faces of families who would otherwise go without gifts. Big or small, all gifts help spread smiles!

Make Cards for Patients. Hospital patients often go neglected during the holidays. Let them know that they are valued by wishing them holiday cheer!

Donate to a Favorite Charity. Shelters, pantries, clinics, drives—all will be in operating in full force to enhance the lives of people in need. Help your favorite non-profit continue to do great work in your community!

Projects are fun, opportunities are diverse, and getting involved is simple! Just visit the project calendar at today and check out the many opportunities to spread health and happiness today!
