Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Have you made a difference through volunteering over the past year? Are you a student who is in grades 5-12 and is a legal resident of the United States? The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is looking to recognize middle school and high school students  who have given back to their community and awarding them with $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C., next May!

It’s easy to apply:

  1.  Visit http://spirit.prudential.com or www.nassp.org/spirit, click on the “Apply Now” link and follow the onscreen instructions.
  2. Once you have completed your online application, go to the “Certification” page to either email certification instructions to your certifier, or to print them out and hand-deliver them. These instructions will enable your certifier to review your application online. This must be done by November 1, 2011. Your certifier can be your school principal, or the head of one of these officially designated local organizations: a county 4-H group, Girl Scout council, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA, or affiliate of HandsOn Network.
  3. Print out the signature page of your application, sign it, have a parent or guardian sign it, and then submit it to International Scholarship and Tuition Services by November 1, 2011. You may either mail or upload it to the online application site.

The top middle level and high school applicant in each state and the District of Columbia, will receive an unrestricted award of $1,000, an engraved silver medallion, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent to Washington, D.C., next May 5-8, 2012. So what are waiting for? APPLY TODAY!
